About the Early Years

Pratham Early Years team has decades of experience working with community partners and state governments to develop and deliver solutions targeting holistic development of children of age group 3 to 8 (i.e., children across preschool and grades 1-2). In the past few years, Pratham has also started working in the birth to 3 age group. Solutions include designing curriculum and material, training government and community resource groups, supporting on-site monitoring, providing measurement support and, most importantly, assisting state governments with evidence-based decision making for policy and practices. A key aspect of Pratham early years programs is mother and community engagement, which is done through the formation of mothers’ groups and weekly engagement with them thereafter, periodic school readiness melas, and upskilling for community volunteers.

Program: 0 to 3 Years Palan Poshan Program
Location: Bhopal & Sheopur (M.P)
Reporting To: Program Coordinator

Position Summary:

The MME (Monitoring, Measurement, and Evaluation) Associate will play a vital role in the 0 to 3 Years Palan Poshan Program by overseeing the monitoring, evaluation, and reporting processes. This position involves collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to assess program effectiveness, ensuring alignment with established goals, and facilitating continuous improvement. The MME Associate will collaborate closely with district teams and stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making and enhance program impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Collection and Management:

    • Develop and implement data collection tools, formats and methodologies to gather relevant information on program activities, outputs, and outcomes.

    • Coordinate with district teams to ensure accurate and timely data entry and management.

    • Maintain comprehensive databases to track program progress and facilitate easy access to data for analysis.

  2. Monitoring and Evaluation:

    • Conduct regular field visits to monitor program implementation, ensuring adherence to the prescribed models and timelines.

    • Assist in the development of monitoring frameworks and evaluation plans to assess program effectiveness.

    • Analyze collected data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for program improvement.

  3. Reporting:

    • Prepare detailed reports on program activities, findings, and recommendations for stakeholders, including the Program Coordinator and senior management.

    • Ensure timely submission of reports and documentation in accordance with program requirements.

  4. Capacity Building:

    • Provide training and support to district teams on data collection methods, evaluation processes, and reporting standards.

    • Facilitate workshops and learning sessions to enhance the capacity of program staff in monitoring and evaluation practices.

  5. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Work closely with program teams, including ECD Mentors, Block Coordinators, and local stakeholders, to ensure alignment in monitoring and evaluation efforts.

    • Collaborate with government officials and other partners to promote data sharing and transparency.

  6. Continuous Improvement:

    • Contribute to the identification and documentation of best practices and lessons learned throughout program implementation.

    • Recommend adjustments to program strategies based on data insights to enhance overall effectiveness.

  7. Quality Assurance:

    • Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and validity of data collected and reported.

    • Develop and implement quality assurance processes to maintain high standards in monitoring and evaluation activities.

Qualifications and essentials:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.

  • Minimum of 01 years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, and data management in development programs.

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
